In the gritty, crime-ridden streets of New York City, a group of police officers is thrust into an unexpected alliance with an underground society of intelligent rat-human hybrids. These “grubbers”, who live in the sewers, have long been secretly observing the human world. After witnessing a powerful drug cartel infiltrate the city’s law enforcement, the rats decide it’s time to intervene. Detective Jack Murphy, a grizzled cop with a chip on his shoulder, forms an unlikely alliance with Rizzo, an outcast but sharp-witted grubber, who has inside knowledge on the cartel’s operations. The dynamic duo must stop the cartel before it’s too late.
